Dan and I had a wonderful date at Discovery park in Magnolia the other day. I had never really explored Discovery park and was excited to walk around. We "hiked" down to the beach and enjoyed the sun and the water. We soaked up the view, knowing we will miss the beauty of Seattle very much while we are in Malawi.

Dan has found a great deal on airfare to Malawi. Actually, he found super cheap tickets that will allow us to have a 4 day layover in Paris! I am so very looking forward to a mini vacation before we begin this new chapter of our lives. Dan and I had talked about spending time in Europe after he graduates, but since all the Africa stuff is happening, we have given up the hopes of doing a back packing trip for any extended period of time. A few days in Paris will be enough for us to enjoy some time off together and celebrate our graduating from school.(Dan from UW and I from Seattle Central Community College) We have yet to buy the tickets, but it looks like we will be heading out on August 4th (EARLY morning). We have friends getting married on the 3rd, so we have done our best to stay for that.
