In other news, last night there was a pretty serious fighting match between two spiders over at my friend Amy's house. Apparently, after potlatch (we have a weekly dinner with those living on campus every Friday), someone found a chopchop spider at the Chinchen's house. Now, we didn't know it, but this is the same type of spider that Dan had killed a few days ago (the picture is on a blog entry from a few days ago). They put it in a plastic cage. Later that evening, Amy found a tarantula on the outside of her front door. As the tarantula was placed inside the cage with the chop chop, they began to fight.....guess who won?
The CHOPCHOP! I was so surprised to hear this! I thought that tarantulas would ALWAYS win in a spider fight, but no! Amy said that the chopchop was vicious! We went to her house this morning to see it, and there was the chopchop with just a few crumbs left of the tarantula from the night before. It is very scary, especially knowing that these animals LIVE IN MY HOUSE!!!! There have been so many of them around here lately, probably because of the rains. Oh my goodness, I just don't know how I will do it. I am still afraid of my kitchen from the last chopchop sighting. And the other night, we saw one in the Stom's kitchen, while another one was actually chasing my friends Annie and Megan down the road! AHHH!
