On our way out, we witnessed two wedding processions...and where were they going? Oh yes, to the round about near the city centre...why? might you ask...oh, to take pictures. Yes, many wedding parties have their wedding pictures taken at the roundabouts here, because they are pretty with flowers. It's funny...here are some great pictures.

Salima Salima
So, it was Ari's birthday on Sunday, and to celebrate (and to get out of Lilongwe), Ari and went to Lake Malawi for the day. Oh, it was sooo nice to be on the beach, with a cute African band playing the same song over and over again, the breeze in my hair, a good book (What is the What by David Eggers) and the sweat pouring down my back. IT WAS SOOO HOT! Ari and I would go into the water, come out, dry off and be sweating again within minutes! I was so thankful to get away for the day, though. It was much needed.
Ahh, so peaceful! The water was perfect....not too many waves, not too hot and not too cold.
Reading a good book, every once in a while, looking up to see the lake...beautiful.
Here is a fisherman who caught that big cat fish (I am assuming it's a cat fish...it had whiskers). He sold it to a couple who was sitting near us.
