Another update

My mom just checked Beth and she's at 6 cm and 0 station. My mom said it's really stretchy and that she could stretch to 7. We've been sitting with her, getting through each contraction. She's been in the water, having warm compresses added at times; a cold compress to her cheek through each contraction and water after each one. She's been able to drift off, relax and sleep a few times in between, and then wakes up as another contraction comes on.
We're taking turns doing the compresses, giving water, turning the heater on in the bathroom, fetching hot water from the stove and helping Beth breath soft and low through the contractions. It's an amazing experience. We are thanking God that we're here and are feeling so many emotions on and off. Nathan made the point that this was what we thought Amos' birth was going to be like!
One funny thing she's said:
After getting through a contraction, she says to Dan, "Honey, I think we should have one and adopt 5!"
Beth is back on the bed, with Dan sitting next to her and Abby next to her on the bed, dozing. It's a sweet time.
