Elijah is here!!

eElijah Forrest Goodnight Robbins was born this morning, weighing in at 7 lbs, 4 ozs. He is a delight already. He cried immediately when he came out but quickly quieted down when lying on his mom's chest. There are moments that we look at his face and see an infant Bethany and other times, we see Dan. Pictures will be up soon!
His entrance into the world was met with emotional outcries from all of us in the room, who had been watching Beth push for an hour. She did so well, following my mom's instructions and really pushing through when she had nothing left.
He has been nursing well and is already a cuddler.
We are thankful for a beautiful home birth with a healthy baby. We now ask for your prayers as Beth continues to try to birth the placenta. It's stuck and we are trying every safe home remedy we can think of. My mom will transport Beth to the hospital but that is a last resort, something they are close to doing.
Please pray for my mom, for wisdom, for Beth and Dan, that the Lord would hold them up, as they are exhausted and that the would be able to enjoy Elijah very soon; that they would trust God, whatever happens, and that Bethany's body would heal.

Way to go Bethany! You did it! It was long, but in a few weeks, your long labor will all seem like a hazy dream. Enjoy these first days while he just sleeps, snuggles, and eats...just treasure it. The newborn stage goes by SO insanely quickly. Good luck with the placenta, feeding, and healing. I'm praying for you. Can't wait to meet him!
