Pic. Of St. Louis arch... from the car. We didn't really end up going to it. I am guessing it is kind of like the space needle is for Seattlelites
We were really excited to visit New City Fellowship Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. Kevin Vanden Brink has been the pastor of that church for a year now. He was the associate pastor at Green Lake Presbyterian in Seattle for four years. He and his wife encouraged us a lot during our engagement and Kevin officiated our wedding. He was also part of the team that first visited ABC in Malawi three years ago. Anyways, we were so excited to visit his church. It is located in the Tower Grove neighborhood of St. Louis. A lot of the people moving into that neighborhood are refugees from Africa and Myanmar (Burma). A large part of the congregation is made up of refugees. We were really excited to be there and see the work they are doing there. We are confident that when we get to St. Louis, New City Fellowship will be our church. It will be wonderful to be a part of that community.

I am at 36 weeks and two days now. Sleep rarely happens anymore, so the crankiness is setting in. I am feeling alright, though. At our last appointment with mommy midwife, everything looks great and Elijah is doing perfectly. By the time this is posted, Dan will be in Seattle. He is there until May 6th visiting family and friends and just enjoying these last few moments of 'freedom'. I haven't dilated at all, so my mom let him get on the plane...otherwise, she might have made him stay home. Things should be fine, though and we aren't too worried that Eli will come early. Lately, the comment I've been getting from strangers is “Wow! You are really pregnant! But you aren't fat in the face at all!”. Seriously, it's been so funny being pregnant here in Nashville where people have absolutely NO shame and will talk to you about anything!

Yup, thats us.For those of you in Seattle, we miss you!!!! I hope you get to see Dan, but if not, we will be there in July with our new little guy.
For those of you in Malawi, we miss you, too!!!!! If you have a chance, remind my kids that I love them and miss them so much, and that they need to remember to use a tissue when they have runny noses and to save the drama for their mamas. They will know what that means:)
