October is a fun month full of birthdays in my family. My brother Joel's birthday is October 7th. He is on the far right in the picture above.
My sister Sarah's birthday is the 14th.
And my mom's is the 22nd.
Birthdays are HUGE in my family. The HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign hangs in the doorway all day. Usually, you get to open a present or two before school. We always got to have our favorite dinner complete with favorite cake. After opening gifts (which always includes a box of your very own favorite sugared cereal...yeah, we weren't really the regular sugar cereal eating type family), everyone would join in on the Beatles birthday song dance. Anyone who came to celebrate your birthday (friends from school, neighbors, old and young, anyone) HAD to dance, no excuses! This tradition still happens and we plan on doing it in our family, too! Oh yeah, and my birthday is November 10th (coming up!) so we are getting ready for it!
Anyways, happy birthday mom, Joel and Sarah! I wish I could be there with you to celebrate!
