There are actually only three seasons in Malawi: the dry hot season, the wet hot season and the "cold" season. Thankfully, we are getting closer and closer to the "cold" season. Mornings and evenings are cooler and sleeping at night is becoming more enjoyable and less sweaty.
Anyways, what I wanted to talk about is Four Seasons, the nursery complex with stores and restaurants. The stores and restaurants are surrounded by beautiful landscaping from the nursery. This morning, we had a wonderful breakfast beside a little pond at Buchanan's Grill. Here are some photos from the morning:
Eli and Papa cuddle while waiting for our food. The wait is always very long, but the food is good.
Elijah and I had fun looking at the bright fish in the pond below.
Eli's new favorite thing to do is "chase" the ants with his index finger.
Eli made a friend named Bethany. The little South African girl had a hard time believing that we shared the same name. It was really adorable. She was also very worried that Elijah was going to get a sunburn. Being the fair skinned red head that she is, I'm sure little Bethany was speaking wisely from her 5 years of experience.
Eli was out like a light on the way home. Granted, it was a busy morning.
Four Teeth.
Elijah already has his two bottom middle teeth. We are now working on welcoming his four middle top teeth. It's been a rough couple of weeks as the two side teeth are now poking through. We only need two more, the middle two. Then, we can maybe have a break for a while. All in all, he has been such a trooper!
For now, we continue to allow him to chew on anything and everything that helps with the pain, including old medicine bottles and q-tip containers. Hey, whatever does the trick, right?
