I posted a few weeks earlier about my friend's sister Agnes who was falsely accused of stealing. She was sent straight to jail and her court date was continually pushed back. She ended up spending 3 weeks in jail, but was finally released this weekend! Christina had to come up with 8,000 Kwacha to bail her sister out of Maula prison. It is equivalent to about $65, more than what she makes in a month. The judge wasn't able to convict her because there was absolutely no evidence. Still, the 8,000 Kwacha had to be payed for legal fees. SO FRUSTRATING!
I just want to say thank you to everyone who prayed for Christina and her sister Agnes. God was gracious to them both and we are thankful that He has answered our prayers.
