Speed Scrabble!!!
(My sister Abby, me, Jessica, Brenna, Krtisten, Karen, and Catie)
Things have been really busy around here. My younger sister has been with us for over a week now, and is settling in. Sarah and Nathan are currently renovating their kitchen, and so many meals are being had at the Robbins humble abode here in the U District. It has been wonderful to be with family and to spend extra cuddle time with Amos. There have also been numerous non-stop speed scrabble tournaments!
I hosted a give away party for my girlfriends last Tuesday. It was the usual Tuesday night crowd of girls, but it was extra fun to be together and bless them with all of my unused brand new kitchen items and such. It literally consisted of hanging out and giving away a lot of my things in preparation for packing the next day.
By Friday, Dan and I had packed two relatively small boxes, which we sent to ABC's home office in Mississippi. There will be a large crate leaving for Malawi in July and we expect to get our things sometime in September (about a month after we arrive in Lilongwe).
The moving process has officially begun, as well as the selling process. Things have been stressful, busy, exciting and sad. Please be praying for us as the departure date is coming up soon and there are many things that need to be done.
One specific request is that you pray for my passport to arrive. We have heard rumors of passports arriving later and later then the normal wait period, so we are getting a little bit nervous.
Another thing to pray for is our living situation. There is a strong possibility that we will be living off campus in Lilongwe. Of course there are pros and cons to both living situations, however the challenges that come with living off campus are many. We want to feel peace about whereever the Lord leads us so please be praying for that.
We know that God has called us to Malawi, and we trust that He will work all of these things out for His glory. We are just excited to see how He will do it!
