Graduation

Well, after four years of schooling on and off (not counting the two years of running start in High School), I finally finished. Well....I attended my graduation ceremony. It was a blast. It was a ceremony put on by the philosophy department, for Philosophy Majors, Grads, and Phd. Students. They had all sorts of wine, cheese, wraps, fruit, veggies. It was held in the gorgeous Urban Horticulture Center. I even got a philosophy department pen.....woohoo!
I still have to finish a paper from Spring Quarter, and have 7 freshman level credits left to take this summer. Nonetheless, I am done with my philosophy degree. It has been a relief, as well as a bit of a shock.

More than anything else, I have been excited to be done so I could finally spend good swaths of time with my wife, family, and friends, all of which I was able to do this last weekend. My brothers, Jeff and Will, and Will's girlfriend Joann came into town for the weekend. It was the first time that our whole family had been together for about a year. It was great to see them again. I am always blessed and encouraged to see how much my family cares for me (spending gobs of money to fly out from NYC is just one example.) Below are some pictures from the ceremony.

My Beautiful Wife and I. I don't think I could have made it without her consistent support and care.

Seth and Piper Moore, My Wife, Me and My Philosophy Belly (not a very active degree).
Seth andPiper have been long time friends from RUF. Only recently has Seth also become my philosophy buddy.

Lastly, but not least, Bethany's little sister, Abigail will be coming into town tonight. She will be staying with us for the next two months until hit the road. We are hugely looking forward to her being here; it is just so great to have family around before we take off for Africa.
