Another big bug and the first rain!

Last night, as I was walking into the kitchen for something, I saw out of the corner of my eye, yet another BIG bug running out from underneath the fridge. I screamed (of course) for Dan to kill it, and quickly! He being a guy, wanted to show our friend Ari, but I think with all of my screaming and jumping, he just went ahead and stomped on it. It was at least four inches long, with these really long gross antennas that looked sharp. It was a spider of some sort. The creepy thing is that there are plenty more to come, especially with the rainy season upon us. I am really not looking forward to it.

On a happier note, it rained the other day!!!!!!! Dan and I were in line at a store when suddenly, the clouds opened up and it began to pour. You could smell it, the smell of rain. Oh, it was beautiful. Dan and I haven't seen rain since Paris, but then before that, it had been a while. We left at the end of Seattle summer, the driest time of the year. Then, we have been in Malawi during the driest time of the year. Needless to say, we rejoiced at the sight, smell and feel of rain!
