This week, we focussed on the letter Dd (we also reviewed numbers 1-10, learned about the opposites 'full and empty' and explored purple, meaning we put blue and red paint together in a messy art project, and the kids were absolutely amazed to see purple at the end of it!).
This week, I had a weird craving for pudding, and I actually found some!!! I'm sure it's not good for littlest, and I only wanted a taste, so I decided to bring it to school. Each kid got a little bowl of pudding, and we practiced writing Dd's with our fingers in the pudding, of course the fun of it being that you get to lick your finger clean after each attempt. The kids loved it, as you can see. This is Louisa, our little German princess. She is absolutely adorable! Jon (from Zim) is behind her. He is our funny man.
We also played pin the tail on the 'donkey'! Really, it was just an opportunity for the teachers and kids to get a kick out of everyone being blindfolded and running into walls. We had SO much fun. The kids even got me involved...they made me play, and I have to say, there is something scary about not being able to see, but hearing all these little voices giggling at you, probably because you're about to run into something! The video below captured only a bit of the hilariousness which we experienced that day. The picture below is of Jon, and the one beneath that is Malaika, waiting for Mr. Owen to spin her.
