Kenny goes to Africa

Dad got in today! It was so fun to see him at the airport and then drive him around town a little bit with the group in another van. We got to spend some time together this evening before they had dinner with the board members of African Leadership. We sat in his hotel room and tore open our Christmas presents, straight from America!!! Included were clothes, food, bike shoes, slippers, pregnancy tea, movies, and so much more!!!! It was so much fun to have our little Christmas together in dad's hotel room. (Don't worry mom, I will put up all the pictures tomorrow, I promise!)

Today, I had an especially bad day at school and was really missing home. During the kids' recess time, I was working on a project in my room listening to Christmas music. The song "I'll be home for Christmas" started playing, and I just about lost it. Christmas is such a huge celebration in my house, and it is so hard to be missing it. I just thanked the Lord for being so gracious to me in bringing my dad here for a few days. It is truly a huge comfort to be able to hug him and just be with family for a little bit.

Please be praying for the team as they travel to different villages, orphan feeding programs, prisons and other things over the weekend. As well, pray that I would have chances to spend time with my dad in the midst of all the work he is doing here.
