My kids are asking more and more "when is baby coming out?" and "is he still paining you?". The other day, he was kicking so much that each kid got to have a turn feeling him! It was so cool, and perfect timing! They loved feeling Elijah kick, but now are always concerned that he is hurting me. It's really adorable. One of my students said "maybe there is another baby in there, and they are just playing together!" I quickly and happily denounced that possibility!
So, we have been losing power a lot lately. The other night, we cooked some sausages out back on our little grill with the Stoms. It was a funny night, because the power would flicker on long enough to make us think it was worth it to go back inside and cook veggies or something, but then it would go off again. Finally, we gave up and just ate our sausages. We did have a fun time singing out back with the Stom's girls. Here are Clara and Katherine putting on a show for us while we wait for the 'daddies' to cook dinner.
Lastly, I have included a picture of my first baby shower invitations!!! Marion Spencer (from the Chinchen clan) is throwing me a baby shower next week. Marion's youngest daughter, Charlotte, (they have 5 boys and 2 girls) is in my class. Their house has become my home away from home, as it is almost always loud, and they usually have good snacks or cookies to eat! It's funny, because Marion often talks about her inability to be creative, but this is the cutest baby shower invitation I have ever seen!!!!!
It says "It's time for a change..."
So, Dan and I have two weeks of teaching left. Then, the school goes on Easter break and we leave for the States!!! March 17th is our departure date. There will be teams staying in our house while we are gone, so we need to pack everything away into Elijah's room. I feel like we have a lot to do, but can't get much of it done until we are closer to leaving....Please be praying for all the details of packing up our house and finishing school before we leave. Of course, we are are so excited to get home and meet Elijah soon. I still can't believe that we are about to have our first child! We feel so blessed.
