In Home Prenatal Care

Being home has been a huge blessing. Not only do I have a million choices of foods to eat, but I am also able to take all of my vitamins and exercise better here (mostly because my mom and little sister are so good at encouraging me with these things!). It's wonderful to have my doctor living under the same roof. Appointments, updates, classes, etc. are all right here. Here I am with my mom early one morning on the couch. We listened to the heart beat and she checked for Eli's position. She also measured me and said that I am right on target as far as how 'big' I am, so that is good. Elijah and I are both healthy and happy, praise the Lord!

It's also been fun to be home because the weather is sooo beautiful! It's still kind of winter here. Temperatures have been around the 50's, so Dan and I have enjoyed wearing our coats and snuggling up by the wood stove fire place at my parents house.

Easter Sunday was so wonderful. We visited Parish Presbyterian Church in Franklin. George Grant was leading a bible study at Christ Community Church, but then left to plant Parish Pres. about a year ago. It actually meets in the old Christ Community chapel. Anyways, we really enjoyed being there, and intend to make it our church home while we are here in Franklin. I am going to be attending the women's bible study on Tuesdays, which I am really looking forward to. It was so wonderful to worship the Lord yesterday, and especially to take communion (which we have only done once while we were in Malawi)! Last night, we visited another church in East Nashville called City Church. It is another plant that came out of Christ Community and is made up of a much younger congregation. It was fun to double dip and be in church all day. Church in Malawi has been a huge struggle for many reasons, and we are just thrilled to be back and worshiping the Lord again. I won't get into it...maybe Dan would be able to articulate it better.

Please continue to pray for the work at African Bible college, the Clinic and the Academy. Actually, the schools are on break until next week, so be praying for the teachers and staff, that they would have a restful week off and that they would be ready for the final term of school when it resumes on April 1st.
