Malawi news and prayer requests

Well, there are a few things happening in Malawi that I would just like to mention and ask prayer for. First is that this is the final week of school for the Academy. Please keep the students and the staff in your prayers as I'm sure things are pretty hectic for them all. I just really hope that my students are having a great week and that they all did well this last term. Pray for the teachers who will be heading back home for the summer. There is so much work to be done at the end of the year, plus there is the cleaning of the rooms and the packing and goodbyes...just keep them in your prayers.

Also, please be praying for the college students. The year ended for them last week complete with a graduation and I'm sure plenty of other activities as well. Many of the students who graduate do not actually get to receive their diplomas because they still have school payments to make. Please be praying that the Lord would provide financially for the graduates and that He would lead them in the way He wants them to go. It is always very exciting to have a new class of graduates from the college who are eager and ready to go out and do the Lord's work for the people of Africa.

The presidential elections in Malawi are coming up and there have been a few unnerving things that have happened over the past few weeks. One being that the former president, Muluzi was arrested for treason. Click here, here and here to read three recent articles pertaining to the upcoming elections and the former president of Malawi, Muluzi. Please keep the nation of Malawi in your prayers as the election approaches.

Dan and I miss being in Malawi. We look forward to returning to work and reconnecting with our friends and community there at ABC. There are a lot of 'new' teachers coming next year and still positions that need to be filled. Be praying for the new teachers, for the support that needs to be raised and for packing/traveling mercies. As well, be praying that the Lord would provide the right people to teach at the Academy next year.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for keeping Malawi, ABC, the Academy and the Robbins in your prayers!
