Sick and paying hospital bills

So, last week, Dan and I both got sick with colds. It was crumby, especially since we just wanted to see friends and do fun Seattle things! We are feeling much better now, thanks to the little sleep I finally got on Saturday night.

Just wanted to stop and thank our supporters for all of their continual support. Dan and I got our financial report for July, and were just astounded by the amount of support given this month. The Lord has always had a sort of sense of humor with us and finances. Our latest financial struggle has been the hospital bills we have been receiving from when Eli was born and I had the retained placenta. The bills were just coming and coming and they are much bigger than we ever imagined. Well, as we have seen Him do in the past, God has provided!!! We can fully pay those bills off before we leave! Praise God!!!

So, thank you everyone who has made a financial sacrifice on our behalf. You are truly partnering with us in the work God is doing in Malawi. You enable us to obey God in His calling us there. We pray that the Lord continues to bless you and your families so that He can continue to use you in this way, just as we pray that God continues to bless us with good health so that we can be there in Malawi.

It will be hard to say goodbye to all of you, but we are ready to get back to work!!!

p.s. Elijah is doing so well. He is talking (well, you know) and smiling all the time. He brings us such joy!
