Anyways, it was a very rough day, but we are thankful that I did not have Malaria. I am also thankful for my husband and that he was not at work all week. AND, our neighbor Andy even came over to play with Eli while Dan spoon fed me tomato soup. (Shirley, you should be very proud of your boy!) So without further delay, to make light of a terrible situation, here I am at my worst. For you "Office" watchers, does it remind you of anything??????
......Exactly! That's why Dan took the picture! We had just watched this episode the day before....

Oh yeah, and like Dan said in the previous post, the Water Board went on strike, so we are all sharing water from our one water tank and will probably run out soon. Please pray that the strike will end soon!
Just to put your minds at ease, here are some pictures of Elijah from the day. He is healthy and happy again! Here he is having breakfast with Daddy in his adorable bib from Auntie Noodle.
Eli fell asleep in the stroller and ended up taking a pretty good nap. I love how he is still clinging onto his toys, though.
Eli and Daddy playing while mommy rests.

Elijah's new fascination: his stroller. In order to make room for our Christmas tree, we moved the stroller to a new location, which is actually right next to Eli's play mat. He wiggles and squirms his way over to the wheels and actually pushes the stroller while scooting along.

Here you can tell how far he has pushed it. The stroller is usually right where Elijah is in this picture, up against a bookshelf. Dan was helping me take my medicine in our bedroom and things got very quiet. When Dan went to check on Eli, he had gotten this far. Who knows, he might have pushed it all the way down the hall had we not stopped him!
Here he is pushing it with his feet. One thing we are learning about Eli is that he is very focused and persistent.
I've been missing home so much lately. So, today, Elijah is wearing the Meeks family overalls. Yup, these have been worn by many a Meeks and his cousin Amos Partain and a few other family friends. I was so excited to see that they fit (enough) for Elijah to start sportin' them around. It made me happy and feel closer to home.
This is Jessica with Amos over a year ago back in Seattle, the summer we moved to Malawi (and my sister's family moved to Indianapolis). I think Amos was just around a year old, and yes he plays a mean kazoo!
Eli was wearing this outfit earlier...yes, all stripes. This is what happens when Daddy dresses him. Dan says this in defense "Hey, it was the shirt on top, the pants on top and the socks on top" Yeah, that makes sense, especially for a dad who has been lovingly taking care of everyone in the house for a week now, and doesn't pay as much attention to fashion as his wife does. Also, can you see his little tooth?

Wow! What a time! So glad you're feeling better though. Great picture of sick BRR!
I love his stripey outfit--Nathan would do the same thing! I love that he loves his elephant--it's from Old Navy! And, I love that he can wear the overalls! If you are feeling up to it, can you do some "portraits" in the overalls?
We miss you all so much. Thanks for all of the pictures. We will miss you on cmas and hope maybe to skype a bit! I'm glad you're feeling better and love that you looked like Meredith from the Office! Love you!
Those pictures are so cute! In one of the pictures I see Eli playing on a cool quilt made out of chitenjes, is that the one you picked out and had made after we left? It is so cool!
