Teeth and cabin fever, literally!

Well, we've got cabin fever. Eli and I haven't been able to get out much due to some major teething this week! He has been taking really long naps in the mornings, so we can't get out to grocery shop. In the afternoons, it's fussy fest. So, we just stay in, which is okay with me as I am sick! I lost my voice completely on Tuesday and it's been slowly coming back throughout the week, but I've got head aches and I'm super tired. Like I said in an earlier post, being sick helps it to feel like it's Christmas because you usually get sick during the winter time, right?

Here are a few attempts at trying to capture the tooth. Can you see it? The second one is coming in right next to it.

He hates it when I do this:
Lastnight was the Christmas program at the Academy. I was so excited to go, sit in the stands and take pictures. Well, Elijah had a fever all day yesterday and just around dinner time, it got up to 103, so we stayed home. I was disappointed but happy to stay home and cuddle my little sick guy. We had a rough night last night. Eli woke up just about every hour from discomfort. We got through it, though and he is doing much better this morning. He woke up his usual smiley self as if nothing had happened. Now if he would only take a nap so I can catch up on lost sleep!!!

In other Elijah news:

He is scooting all over the place and he is moving FAST! I can't leave him alone for a second without him traveling across the living room floor (which is ALWAYS so dirty no matter how many times I sweep). Yesterday, I found him playing with a large ant. He almost had it in his mouth...oh well. Protein right? Eli has also really bonded with his little gray elephant. He prefers playing with his stuffed animals (my old teddy bear, the gray elephant and his Jeero) over anything else. He talks to them and laughs at them. It's really adorable!

"I love my elephant Aunt Sally and cousin Amos!!! I play with it everyday!"

Eli shows off his chunk before bath time. We are so thankful that he is a healthy boy!

Well, please pray for us as I am low on energy and patience. It's hard taking care of a sick baby when you are sick! The most difficult thing about it is that Eli most times only wants to be held by me. Dan was able to rock him back to sleep ONCE lastnight! Other than that, he would protest until he was in my arms. Fhew, I'm tired. The good thing is that today is our last day of school. Coming up, 4 weeks of time off!!! I think Dan and I are going to get to know each other again :)
