International Day

I forgot to post about International Day! We celebrate International Day the Friday after Thanksgiving with a huge feast of different foods from different cultures. The kids at the Academy dress up in their traditional dress and we all celebrate our diversity. It's actually really cool to see so many different countries and cultures represented at one small school.

I was going to come as a pilgrim, but at the last minute, didn't feel like doing myself up in costume. So, Elijah and I joined Dan in our native Seattle, Washington garb, complete with hats and hoodies. (yeah, even though it was a hot day)

Eli had a great time being passed around. Here he is with Bech.Sorry I don't have anymore pictures from the day. I think I was just so excited about all the food! You can click HERE for last years International Day post complete with pictures of food and kids dressed up(oh yeah, and a dead bat. just don't pay attention to that part, or you can read about it and see what life was like in Malawi this time last year-it's up to you:) ).

The Stoms left yesterday for South Africa. Laura is due end of January. We are so excited to meet the new Stoms baby! Please keep them in your prayers while they wait in South Africa. Pray that this time would be a time of relaxation and fun for the family before life gets crazy again with a newborn!

Laura and Clara stopped by on Monday to grab some things. Clara's pre-school is in the big hut across the street from our house so I often see them coming and going from school. Clara had fun playing with Elijah and proved to us that she is going to be a great big sister!!!
Eli is kind of making a funny face :)
