Eli on the move

Eli is officially on the move. Pretty soon, we won't be able to keep up with the little guy! He is getting into everything! From now on, no more washing dishes while Eli plays on his little mat. I've got to keep my eye on him!

Elijah somehow crawled onto his floatie (which was actually upright between the stroller and the book case. He must have pushed the stroller out of the way for the raft to lay on the floor) and then struggled to get off and I eventually had to help him down.

Eli also has some new tricks:

Clapping!

Sticking his tongue WAY out for long periods of time. I have no idea why he does this, but it's really funny.

Standing! Although Eli has been "standing" for months now, he has become way more interested in it lately. When we try to sit him down on the floor, he keeps his legs stiff in hopes that we will help him to stand for just 5 minutes longer!

Papa and Eli love to play the 'Throw Down Game' where Dan pretty much throws Eli down against the couch. Eli especially loves the bouncing part.

Doesn't he look so big in this picture?

This is what I imagine Dan looked like at this age. We have a few pictures of Dan as toddler, but sadly no baby photos. We think these two picture are pretty close.

New Year's Eve was so much fun. We stayed up late playing games at the Evan's house. Eli slept well on their bed and didn't even wake up at all the fire works we set off as well as the surrounding ones.

Andy bought fireworks at Santa Plaza and the boys enjoyed setting them off. They were actually really big, beautiful fireworks.

On New Year's Day, we headed next door to the Jone's house for dinner with our neighbors. Elijah had a blast "playing" with the big kids which means sitting on the floor, crawling around and watching the big kids play.

We are guessing that Eli will be some sort of drummer when he grows up. All he wants to do is hit things together. His new stacking cups are perfect for the hitting game, but the game is not limited to the stacking cups. A simple little chubby hand and a certain daddy's face will do just fine, too. Eli proves he is the typical boy as he smacks his toys together while yelling.

And finally, here is the picture of Eli with Santa that I promised to give you. I guess Santa's beard wasn't real, which is why he is holding onto it himself.

Go Eli!!! Now, listen: Sneak around and do mysterious little tricks all over the house ;) Then, call your Aunt Jesky, and we'll laugh about them together.
