Root canal

Sorry, but I have to interrupt our weekend update with some more bad news. I (Beth) need a root canal. I've been having pain in my front tooth next to one of my eye teeth. When I finally got in to see a dentist, he confirmed my worst fear-root canal. I immediately had images of myself looking like this in a matter of weeks:

My dentist is very good at what he does, and is also a very nice man. He calmly explained that he will put a porcelain crown over the tooth so I don't have to look the the hillbilly in the image above. The good news is that there is more than one dentist that could do the root canal here. Plus, the price will be much better because labor is cheaper and there aren't as many laws and insurance companies that raise prices like in the States (a new reason why I love Malawi). However, it is still going to be near $1,000 that we do not have.
Please pray with us about this. Other unexpected expenses have come up before, namely Elijah, and the Lord has always provided. We cannot doubt that He will provide this time as well. Also, I'm still a little scared of getting my tooth drilled into, but I know plenty of people who have had root canals and they are still alive and happy.
