During the ceremony, while I listened to their teachers speak about each student individually, I realized how special ABC Academy really is. The teachers there love their students. Since the classes are small, there is a great opportunity to not only teach your students well, but to invest time into each of their lives. The students in each class are very close with one another, most of them having been in the same class for years. I have enjoyed being in the upper school this year, getting to know the older kids and challenging them in various ways (mostly in their French speaking skills). It was great to watch my four North Star Frenchies (as Dan calls them) be honored with character awards and to see them be encouraged and lifted up.
Here I am with my Frenchies: Gabby (West Africa), Colleen (Zimbabwe), Kitty (Taiwan), and Ines (Portugal). Oh how I will miss my girls.
Eli had a great time socializing with all the students who ooooh and ahhhh over him. Even Esther was there to play with him.
Sorry for not posting about the ABC College Baccalaureate. I ended up staying home as it was the end of a long and busy weekend. This afternoon is the fairwell luncheon for the teachers who are leaving this summer, so I will post pictures of that soon.
