Not Malaria, thank goodness!

Thank you everyone for praying for little Elijah. We had him tested for Malaria yesterday and it was negative. Having a baby with Malaria while moving across the world was my biggest fear, so I am thankful to not be dealing with that right now. The doctor said it is probably bacterial, which makes sense considering all the dirt, bugs and other random things Eli eats on a daily basis. He is on medicine now and is slowly coming back to us.

The positive side to all of this is that he is napping a lot and for long periods of time. This has been helpful as it has given Dan and I loads of time to pack and get things sorted. Still, we feel so bad for the little guy.

We are taking friends to the airport today and then have tonight and tomorrow to finish up a lot of random tasks before our own flight takes off. I have so many pictures and stories of the last week, but they will have to wait until we arrive in Nashville on July 2nd when we get the new charger for our computer. Until then, please keep praying for us and we will keep you all in our prayers as well.

Oh, how sad that the little guy is sick, but praise God that it isn't malaria. I'll be praying for Eli!

I wanted to stop by to invite you to join in on the second photo challenge at Missionary Moms. I know you are probably way too busy, but I wanted you to know that you're invited and to say thanks again for the great pics last time. The topic this time is “His Beautiful Creation.” Stop by ForMissionaryMoms.com to find out more about the challenge if you ended up being able to join in!

You have been in my prayers and on my heart today. In fact, I thought about you (and then prayed for you) first thing when I woke up and realized today is the day you leave Malawi. Traveling Mercies!

Dan and Beth, I'm praying that your family has a safe journey home. I have truly enjoyed reading your blog over the past 2 years. I can't believe I've been secretly following you that long. I'm sure my employer will be glad to get my production time back! Anyway, your family brings a smile to my face and I hope that you'll continue blogging upon your return to the states. Safe travels!
