Sorry there are no pictures. I'm at an internet cafe. Cape Town is beautiful though. It has been so nice to finally relax as a little family, to explore the city and see some amazing sights.
Traveling was terrible. The morning of our flight, I came down with whatever Eli had. I decided to go to the clinic for some meds but while I was waiting, I fainted. I was put on an IV. Apparently, I was really dehydrated. Anyways, I spent the entire morning in the clinic on an IV and anti nausea medication. It was terrible. I was released just in time to get Eli in the car and remind Dan of all the last minute details. Our flight was at 2:55pm and I got home past 12:30pm. THIS is exactly why I started packing two weeks ago! You NEVER know what will happen so you have to be ready!
So, the ride to the airport was terrible. Everything was aweful. I could barely walk. Dan said I looked like death. Well, we made it on the plane, and I puked half way through. Eli didn't sleep (mostly because I kept throwing him into Dan's arms so I could run to the toilets). We miraculously made it on our second flight from Jo-burg to Cape Town. We almost missed it! The second flight was hard, but certainly not as bad as the first. I was just so tired after being on anti nausea pills all day. Again, Eli didn't sleep at all. We landed, got our car rental figured out and arrived at our modern urban apartment hotel around 11pm. Eli went right to bed and I passed out. Yesterday was alright, although I was still pretty weak and recovering. Today has been much better although Dan has been complaining about a weak stomach.
PLEASE pray for us, that we would ALL be in good health before that dreadfully long flight to D.C. on Tuesday. We have been enjoying our time here and I am thankful to have these few days before our life picks up again. Thank you for your prayers for us during this physical and emotional hard time. As I always say, it is truly encouraging to know that so many are praying for us. We are not alone. Thank you.

So sorry you are not feeling 100%. We will pray for y'all and hope this sickness passes before Tuesday. Try and enjoy Capetown as much as you can. We miss y'all, but will see y'all soon.

Hi there,
I found your blog through Raechel's and had to leave a comment on your Cape Town post! As you will see if you visit my site, I am a South African living in the DC area and so can truly sympathize with the agony of that long long flight! Especially when made with kids and feeling lousy! Good luck and God speed!
