2am

It's 2am and Eli is WIDE AWAKE! He did this last night, too. Will he ever adjust to the time change?
We arrived in Nashville on Wednesday morning. So far, we have really enjoyed being with my family and catching up on rest. I want to really thank everyone who prayed for us while we traveled on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Lord really blessed us, giving Eli much rest on that long flight and giving Dan and I energy to get through the long flight as well as long lines. God also blessed us with health. I woke up Tuesday morning in Cape Town feeling "normal" again, just in time! I had enough energy to carry Eli through airports and hold him while he slept. It wasn't easy, I won't lie. But, it wasn't torture either. I am so glad to be on this side of things now, having it all behind me. It was a huge source of anxiety for me over the last 2 months, but I have really learned a lot about constantly giving my fears to the Lord. He has answered so many prayers and has truly cared for our family and brought us through an emotionally and physically trying time.

Being "home" has been wonderful. Elijah has loved getting to know his older cousin Amos. He has an entire driveway full of gravel to play with and two dogs to giggle at. He is in paradise. This week, we plan to eat good food, including cream cheese, and visit with family as well as buy a car in time for us to drive up to St. Louis on the 11th. Please pray that we will find something within our budget fast! We have a lot to do before August, but we have confidence that the Lord will provide. He is faithful and we have so much proof of that!

I WILL post pictures soon, I promise!
