Elijah's second party

Last Saturday, my mom and sisters put on an amazing baby shower for little Eli and myself. We had so much fun! It was great to see my friends and all the other women who have been so encouraging and supportive throughout my life. We got some really cute things for Eli as well as practical things that were MUCH needed. The biggest blessing was the gift cards to Target. We were pretty nervous about having to buy all that we will need for the first year all at once. The gift cards really helped!!! The lady at the Target check out counter probably thought I was the wierdest lady...there I am with my big belly buying pants, socks onsies and sleeper sets in all different sizes up to 12 months!!! We still have a few things to get, but we are keeping our eyes open for good deals at garage sales and thrift stores. We know the Lord will provide.

Here are some pictures from the shower. This is a really nice stroller (very light!) that my grandma got us. Thanks grandma!!! We love it!!!



We played a game where you have to guess how big my belly is by tearing off a certain amount of toilet paper . Apparently, Abby thought I was HUGE! Her piece of toilet paper wrapped around my belly twice!

Here I am with the midwives! My mom is on the right, and Cindy (her partner) is on the left. It was great to see Cindy and get excited with her about the upcoming birth. My mom and Cindy make a great team, and will often send you into a laughing fit! We are going to have so much fun welcoming Eli into the world, that's for sure!
