The biggest joke around the house these days (well, but we are kind of serious, too) is that we have to finish all our projects...then Elijah can come. Mom and I have been working really hard on the office this weekend, and have made HUGE progress. It should be all finished by this Wednesday! This is before we began any work. There used to be a HUGE wooden desk opposite of the little one, that stuck out like a sore thumb. We got rid of it to open up the space.

This photo just shows how much STUFF there was on the other desk and on the floor surrounding it. As you can see, this space REALLY needed help!

We then moved the desk against the other wall, stacked the file cabinets, and then brought in the book shelf which has given us plenty of room for all of mom's business needs. As you can see, there is still tons to do, but mom has been feeling more encouraged about getting organized.

We are also trying to get the 'birthing room' ready. Dan made progress when he got the pool inflated and ready. Isn't it cute? It's actually perfect, because the walls are really stable and firm for leaning and having Dan there to hold me and help me.

Here is the birthing room (my parents bedroom). My mom did a big deep clean this weekend.

I had to document being able to use the "Expectant Mothers" parking spot at Kroger. It's so fun being pregnant and being catered to! Although, these days, we are parking further away so that I can get my exercise and hopefully maybe go into labor from all the walking. We've also been hitting the speed bumps pretty hard, hehe:)

Abby and I did a big food shopping trip. You would think that we are preparing for a Tornado to hit town. In reality, we are just preparing for a long night with a lot of hungry people waiting on a baby. We got plenty of coffee for the coach (Dan) and the midwives and lots of chicken noodle soup for me.

Dan has been spending good time working on his Covenant distance course out on the porch. He has really been enjoying his Church History class and hopes to get a lot done before he becomes a daddy. He has gotten a lot done already, which is good. Notice he is wearing his down coat...I have no idea why, but he has been really cold lately! It's actually been beautiful weather here. Bright blue sky, mid 70's, wonderful!

Here I am almost 39 weeks pregnant. I seriously don't know if I can stretch any further! People have told me that the baby will calm down near the end, because there is less room to move around. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth for little Elijah. He MAKES room and has NO problem moving around at the expense of my comfort. Needless to say, I AM SO READY TO HAVE THIS BABY! BRING ON THE PAIN!
p.s. I think my face is starting to get fat!

I just think this picture is really funny. It looks like I have a basketball under my shirt! My mom calls it the strap-on.

I have been having little contractions for the past day and a half. They don't hurt much, but really flare up when I am busy around the house or on a walk. I had one the other night around 3am that was intense enough to wake me up. I thought it was the real deal, but it wasn't. We are still all just waiting around until something starts up. Elijah is doing well and is in position, so we just continue to pray that he stays that way. Thank you for all of you encouragement and prayers for our little family. We are so excited to welcome Elijah!!!
