Halloween on campus

Well, it wasn't much, but we tried to have a fun Halloween for the kids on campus Friday night. The kids trick-or-treated, going from house to house here on ABC campus. It was fun and the kids were really cute!

Dan and I were country bumpkins: Trampus Duet and Betty Bins

Andy got home just in time for the kids to push through the door...it was hilarious!

The bugs/critters must have known it was Halloween, because they seemed to have all come out last week, giving us the creeps!!! Here is a centipede of some sort. Thankfully, it was slow so we could kill it, although it took 6 smacks with a flip flop to make it stop wiggling. Chop chop spiders (sun spiders) are another issue. We killed 4 of them last week...they run fast!

Well, we don't have the beautiful colors that come with fall, the oranges, browns, deep reds and purples but we do have fire engine red. There are these beautiful trees called 'flame trees' all over campus and all over town. It helps, when I am missing out on my favorite time of year in the states, to drive around and admire these trees.

Elijah sat at the table with us for the first time yesterday. Here we are at Andy's house for breakfast.

Eli sat with us at dinner too! I think he really enjoyed being higher up with the big people. He is very social.

View from our front porch. We are so blessed to see a bright pink, orange and red sun set each evening at 6pm sharp.
